Cancer Health Software with Personal Treatment Planning

Researchers at Amirkabir University of Technology succeeded in developing a software package that determines the optimal personalized treatment plan according to the specific conditions of each patient (including dosage, chemotherapy and radiation therapy scheduling), functioning as an aid to doctors and specialists in finding the optimal treatment plan. Amir Ebrahimzadeh Ph.D., researcher at AUT said: The goal of this research is to offer a software package that schedules the specific treatment plan (including dosage and chemotherapy and radiation therapy scheduling) for glioblastoma patients, helping doctors and specialists in finding the optimal treatment.
According to this researcher, the final benefit of this project will be gaining foreign patients through medical tourism; after our clinical trial is completed.
Seyed Hamidreza Shahabi Haghighi an AUT faculty member of Industrial Engineering department and Majid Soltani from K. N. Toosi University of Technology, were the advisors of this project.
