A board from St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University has visited Amirkabir University of Technology with the goal of initializing and expanding the universities' cooperation. Referring to the possibility of collaboration with St. Petersburg Marine Technical University in various fields, in particular marine industry and welding research, director of scientific and international cooperation stated: There is a good prospect and convergence for joint cooperation at different levels including publishing articles, joint guidance of postgraduate theses, holding specialized short-term courses, especially in the field of welding and laser technology, and a joint virtual laboratory.
